The HandCam permits the transmission of high-quality video images in colour with simultaneous audio communication with the Service Center.

Data transmission takes place locally in the production hall via a radio link, and nationally or internationally using a ISDN connection.

By means of video diagnostics, it is possible to reduce service calls still necessary after control diagnostics by another 50%. This allows customers to receive any required assistance more quickly and cheaply.
Application environment of HandCam
The HandCam is designed for application in tough industrial environments. It can be used on an industrial PC basis. For this purpose, the PC is equipped with a module suitable for video conferencing and the necessaray software. The software permits video recordings to be produced for precise machine diagnosis.
Altenatively, it is possible to operate the HandCam on a video telephone basis. |

Installation and operating instructions for the HandCam
Equipped with a loaded storage battery, the HandCam can be commissioned without further functional testing. The stroage battery can be charged at the charging station. The charging time is around 2 - 3 hours. A charged storage battery has an operating time of around 1 hour. The HandCam transmits radio signals to the radio module. This should ideally be capable of receiving the radio signals in isolation and should be connected to the video conference module in the PC or to the video telephone. |
